Wilde and Hanes
Dangerous Comedy Jugglers
“A wicked cross between Penn & Teller and the
Smothers Brothers…hilarious high tech
vaudeville.” Herb Caen, SF Chronicle
Robert Wilde and Sean Hanes began performing
their comedy-juggling act on California’s Venice
Beach Boardwalk in 1984. Three years and
nineteen citations for disturbing the peace
later, comedian Rodney Dangerfield caught the
act and immediately set up a showcase at Bud
Friedman’s Improv Club in Hollywood. Since then,
the team has performed at Comedy Clubs, Casinos,
Conventions and Colleges around the country and
Cruise Ships around the world. They’ve also been
featured on TV shows including Comic Strip Live
and Comedy Express on Fox, A&E’s Evening at the
Improv, The Today Show on NBC, as well as
several appearances on MTV’s Half Hour Comedy
Hour.
Wilde & Hanes have also choreographed stunts
for IBM, Footlocker, Miller Beer, 7-11 and Coca
Cola TV commercial campaigns as well as for the
films Monster High and LA Story.
