Steven Carte
Juggler
Even before he was born, Steve knew he wanted
to be an entertainer. This led to the
performance of his first routine: the escape
from the womb. Finding himself in Cleveland,
Ohio, Steven immediately attempted his second
escape.
Educated as a film major, Steve set out to
find the ultimate performer to star in his
films. After exhaustive research, he concluded
it was Steven S. Carte!
Moving to Los Angeles at the tender age of
19, Steve was immediately booked at the Comedy
Store, and then moved on to The Improv, where he
honed his comedy skills.
Combining physical humor, juggling, and a
dash of illusion, he found the recipe which led
him to performances on cruise ships, at
corporate events, on college campuses and as an
opening act for many celebrities, all across the
country.
Steve has entertained at the 2000 Democratic
National Convention, on NBC’s hit sitcom, “Mad
About You”, and with Gene Wilder on his TV show.
Feature films like “Austin Powers: The Spy
Who Shagged Me” and “Batman Forever” have also
utilized Steve’s talents, and he has been seen
on both “The Today Show” and “Entertainment
Tonight”.
Steve’s brand of humor translates well. He
was a featured performer in a review show in
Paris, France where he learned to speak the
language.
Using audience participation is one of
Steve’s specialties. Steve’s ability to laugh at
himself has inspired other people to do so. He
feels that laughter is the best medicine , in
Steve’s case, the prescription is definitely
refillable.
